Steve turned 33 this week. I made a cake in honor of his ‘mid life crisis’ and the girls and I took it to his office for him to share.

*Sidenote* Megan has been convinced for a little while now that Steve lives at work.  She asks to go to his ‘work house’ regularly.  Steve works for a contractor/homebuilder.  They built their building- and it’s the coorporate office as well as the design center- and it looks like a house.  A large, gorgeous house.  So we pull up and Megan gets SO excited and says, ‘Yay! It’s daddy’s house!!’  *sidenote over*

So for what you’ve all been waiting for- pictures of Steve’s cake.

The car is made out of carved poundcake and is covered in fondant. The wheels are actually gingersnaps covered in fondant. I enjoy how the car appears to be sitting on it’s wheels on the cake- but it’s not.  Cool huh?
