Moving stinks…
Seriously. Also- moving 2/3 of your stuff to a storage unit for an undetermined amount of time and the rest of your stuff to an apartment roughly 1/2 the size of your house… not fun. But the sorting and packing? Even worse. I’m not a good sorter/organizer. There is so much to sort/organize in my house that it’s completely and totally overwhelming. I made a list of the things to go with us. It’s a sparing list. Not very long. But it’s getting the ‘everything not on the list’ packed that’s hard. So any moving/packing/storing solutions or tips? Where do you usually start? How do you stay motivated? How do you handle it when your husband will be leaving before you and you don’ tknow when for sure you’re going to follow. Sigh. It’ll all be over soon right? At least for a couple of months until we do it again.

I’m not going to lie….the moving twice thing SUCKS. BTDT and barely survived it.
My only advice is to try and look at one thing that needs to be done at a time. If you look at the big picture its much more overwhelming.

You’d think I’d have advice since this is almost exactly what I just went through and still am. For us it was five weeks apart…but we didn’t know how long it was going to be at first. Knowing what’s essential and what’s not for an undetermined amount of time is daunting. I think your making a list is great! Good luck with your moves…I still have one more to go…in June.
My advice? Mouse traps in your storage unit :p Trust me on that one.
