So I’m a follower- about time I did this since I’ve been tagged a hundred times.

1. I’m very sarcastic. My children have learned how to understand sarcasm because of this. Lucky them.

2. I’m learning how to play the guitar. I’m trading lessons for sugar treats. Good deal?

3. One of my favorite things to do is to have people over and cook for them- but I get bugged cooking dinner for my family every night. Bit contradictory huh?

4. I love to play Scrabble. No one will play with me though except online.

5. My favorite food group is chocolate. I don’t trust people who don’t like chocolate.

6. I am half way through my junior year of college. I need to go back and finish. The plan is to do that once Corinne is in Kindergarten or first grade.

7. In May of 2005 we put our house in Las Vegas on the market. Since then we’ve moved 4 times. I’m never moving again (knock on wood).

8. My youngest two girls are going to be fluent in Mandarin Chinese by the time they leave elementary school. I’m very excited by this.

9. I had a cat, a gerbil and a couple of dogs growing up. As an adult I have found a dislike for animals. I already have too much to clean up after with four kids.

10. Large dogs scare me. I’ve been badly bitten twice. Both times I was bitten I stepped in front of a small child who was about to be bitten instead. Once it was my oldest.

11. I have an unnatural fear of tornadoes (since I don’t live in tornado country), crocodiles/alligators and being hit by a train. I know they’re all things to be afraid of- but none of them are likely to happen.

12. I decorate cakesk. It’s fun, I get to be creative and I’m pretty good (and humble). It’s also a great way to trade services with people.

13. I started blogging before blogging was cool. I used to update 4 or 5 times a week. Lately I’ve struggled to blog twice a month. I blame Facebook.

14. I’m an internet forum fanatic. I’ve made online friends, met those friends ‘IRL’ and talk to them daily. Yes, my friends live in my computer. Before you think I’m too pathetic I do have other friends too- but if I can make them communicate with me online through facebook, blogs or email I will.

15. I’ve written a young adult novel. I’ve done one draft. It’s about 200 pages long (80,000 words) in Word. It took me a month to write and it’s taking me months and months to edit to the 2nd draft. I think I fear being ‘done’ and having it suck, so I keep putting off finishing it.

16. I’m pretty proud at how non picky my kids are when it comes to food. They’ll eat most any veggie, love fish, and will try most anything (although they still grumble). I do realize that it’s nothing that I’ve done it’s just how they are and now that I’ve written that down they’ll all go on a hunger strike.

17. I have a pretty sweet life right now. I’ve got a husband who works hard and loves me and our four girls who are relatively good and a great house in a great neighborhood and good friends and extended family who is ‘there’ for me when I need them.

18. My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip.

19. My biggest battle right now is laundry. I don’t think it’ll ever end. Life must be pretty easy if that’s my biggest worry huh?

20. I hate winter time. I prefer warmth. Sure 78 degrees year round would be perfect but I honestly would rather have it be 110 all summer if it meant that it didn’t snow in the winter.

21. When I moved from Utah after High School graduation I never thought I’d ever move back. It’s weird to be living in Utah and having it feel permanent. Although Davis county is better that Utah county (sorry guys).

22. I am currently the Activity Chairperson at church. This means I get a budget, people who are supposed to help me and people that are supposed to show up for the parties and activities that I plan. Pretty much much favorite calling ever.

23. I have seven younger sisters. When I tell people this they always ask the following questions, “do you have any brothers?” (yes one) “Is he the youngest?” because they assume my parent’s were just trying for a boy. He’s the oldest. There is nothing wrong with girls. ;)

24. I love to camp. I love to take my kids camping. Good thing Steve likes to camp too. We tent camp. It’s not really camping if you’re in a trailer- especially if it’s got a potty, sink, and refrigerator. But I’ll let you pretend if you need to.

25. I talk to one of my sisters almost daily. We’ll talk for hours at a time. It’s how I clean my house.

I have the same distaste for animals, though I didn’t mind them growing up either. And when I left Utah for the Army I never thought I’d move back either. Now I kinda wish we could.

Wow! Amber blogged! I should too.

Katie’s last blog post..Beware the Potluck!

(I don’t know how the computer knows who I am when I don’t log in to anything.) I always like to say I have one brother *pause* and seven sisters.

I will play scrabble with you as long as we make the rules that you can only use normal words, not those made up scrabble dictionary words like FA or EF. I am sure I will still lose, but at least then I will have a fighting chance.
