Happy Thanksgiving!
Published by amberlicious November 27th, 2008 in How we celebrate, stuff with extended familyWe had a non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner tonight. We drove 15 hours on Wednesday in order to get to Southern Arizona to my sister’s house. Since most of us traveled most the day Wednesday and my other sister was going to her sister in law’s house an hour north of us we decided to do the traditional meal on Friday. So for this Thanksgiving we had homemade pizza and breadsticks. I’m not a fan of Thanksgiving food (except for pie) so it was great to me!
Mmmm, pizza! (and Angela- my youngest sister)
My nieces (who both turned their heads at the same time!)
My mom’s only grandson- Jaxon
Sarah, Mom, Jake, Steve
The kid table (supervised by aunt Barbara)
Becca and Cori- they bonded after sitting next to each other in the car for 15 hours. Who are we kidding- they’re already bonded!
I love Thanksgiving- mostly because I get to hang out with some of my favorite people!
Thankfulness:
A husband that loves me and provides for us plus is a great dad (and kisser)
A family that loves me
extend family that tolerates me
that we have the option to travel to see family
a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood (with great neighbors)
my online ‘community’ (that’s you!)
being ‘wealthy’ compared to 99% of the world
Happy Thanksgiving- I hope it was fabulous!

So glad that your journey so far has been safe and uneventful. Hope your visit with your fam goes super well. Yay for holidays that give us the umph we need to go and visit.

Looks like yummy pizza and a fun Thanksgiving!!! After this Thanksgiving dinner this year I wondered why we do it. I mean, I know why we have Thanksgiving, but why do we cook all day so that we can stuff ourselves sick in an hour and go to bed? Hmm… the pizza idea is sounding better and better!!
