Today is the big day

We leave for the hospital at 11:00 (which means we leave for my mom’s at 10:30 which means I should go shower and pack some stuff).

Here is the post explaining the issue.

Except this time it’s Megan’s turn.  Keep her (and me) in your prayers today please?  We have great confidence in the surgeon, in the hospital and their staff.  We went to the ‘pre-op’ class last night and Megan didn’t do well.  She’s very, very  nervous.  They do give a sedative (verset?) to anxious kids and Annika didn’t need it- I’m pretty sure Megan is going to need it.

Primary Children’s is a great place, I get emotional when we go there.  The feeling there is just really warm and it seems everyone from the security guards to the doctors and nurses and the janitors are happy and friendly and warm.

Here are some pictures of Megan (just for fun). While looking for pictures of Megan I’m noticing that I mostly take pictures of her being goofy- I don’t know if it’s because she’s generally a goofy kid- or because I only think of taking out the camera then.

  9. I hope that the surgery goes well!! My son had surgery there twice and they took excellent care of him. It was scary for me, but all routine for them. Your daughter is a cutie by the way! Cheers, Mary (AUSinUS)

  11. Best wishes to you! I’ve had kids in surgery a few times, and though it’s never been life-threatening, the mom fears naturally set in. Prayers help a lot.
