I know you’d like to reach Amber. Unfortunately she’s drowning in a sea of spaghetti sauce.  She’s unable to do anything but try to keep her head above water, er, tomatoes, peppers, apples, squash, peaches and plums.  She should be back soon except I’ve got bad news.  You know the washing machine?  She gets a little temperamental when proper attention isn’t paid to her so she may need some attention, which of course leads to the Dryer wanting attention too. That guy is all about ‘equal time’.  Sigh… Some day Amber will blog again.  Leave her a message and make her happy…

Done:
25 quarts of spaghetti sauce
24 cups of peach freezer jam
10 ‘trays’ of plum fruit leather
too many dried peaches to count (but boy are they yummy!)
15ish quarts of spaghetti sauce seasoned and ready to jar

To finish:
bottle last batch of spaghetti sauce
cut up and freeze about a million peppers
figure out what to do with apples and decide if it can wait until next week
all the laundry in the house…

    Will you be giving spaghetti sauce as presents?

    Not that I want any, which I would gladly take, but because it sounds like you’ll have a five year supply.

    I say may apple pie filling with your apples. It’s so good.

    The nice thing about apples, is that they can wait. Mine are going to wait until the end of October, I think.

    Yum! I’ve had good luck with tomato soup this year, which doubles as a base for crockpot chili. Good luck with the sauce!
