Update- ouch!
My boob hurts. Also my arm. Steve is taking very good care of me and my mom took the youngest two girls home with her yesterday and they got to spend the night. After having a horrible experience in the ER at Davis hospital I was apprehensive about having surgery there. The OR people were fabulous. Lovely nurses on both ends- which really makes or breaks a hospital experience. All around good care.
I’m feeling a little more conscience today then yesterday when I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I’m planning to spend today catching up with Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart as well as watching other full episodes of other shows while trying to beat my sister at sudoko on facebook and backing up my pictures. Sounds like fun huh?
Feel free to stop by as long as you bring chocolate or a cream slush from Sonic. ;) Oh, and as long as you don’t mind seeing me braless.

It was fun having the girls here overnight. Annika really liked helping pick tomatoes in the garden and they both loved riding bikes on my street, then go around the corner and ride on the street behind me. They went back and forth many times.
That sounds like it totally sucks. If I was there I would totally bring you a cream slush (and probably one for myself too, but that’s a different story!) Feel better!

Heck, I’d be right over with a sack o’ chocolate if I knew where you lived. You’ll have to settle for some virtual cheer. I’m glad the surgery went well, and that you had nice nurses. I agree completely that the nurses make or break your experience, which is why I try really hard to be the nice nurse that makes it for my patients.
Thoughts about Steve’s ER trip - could it have been a TIA (transient ischemic attack)? Those, most unfortunately, don’t show up on a scan since they are transient. I’ve got some more ideas - email me if you’re interested so that we aren’t hashing out his health in such a public way.
