Guess what!!

No, I’m not pregnant.

But we’re going to play a game.  LUCKY!  Also I’ve decided that it’s a great time to delurk.  Just for a minute, just for a day.  I won’t ask you to do it again until my 30th birthday- I’ve decided it would be a great gift to me from all of you.  But you don’t have to worry about that until September (29th- thanks for asking).  Anyway- if you know me but have never commented today is the day when you get to do so.  WOO!!  FUN!! I’m working on a couple awesome posts (1st annual P family water olympics and kickball tournament, Bear lake trip, and Things I love about my new house and neighborhood) but in the meantime here is how you play:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!  Online memories are acceptable. Unless I was a jerk- then we don’t need to talk about it right?  ;)

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Ready?  GO!

  1. My best memory is a night at Applebee’s last summer where we ate and laughed for four hours straight and I thought you were one of the most hilarious gals I’ve ever met!

  3. I was just thinking the other day about when Sabra and I drove down to help you move. Sitting on that bench outside of Coldstone shoving our faces with ice cream was some good times.

  4. I’ll never forget the night we met and rode to FHE together with good ol amber doo-van. You are one of the first friends I made at the institute! I also loved going to meet your super cute family w/ bill. Fun times.

  6. I remember being at Fremont street one night with you, Andrea and no doubt a few other people.
Some strange guy was checking you out and you decided to put your CTR ring on your left hand so it looked like you were in engaged.

  7. YAY, you’re back!! I’ve been catching up on your blog. It looks like you had a fun 4th and that you’re getting settled. I’m definitely impressed that you not only have pictures, but curtains up already.

Hmmm - A memory. I didn’t get to know you as much as I would have liked while you lived down here, but I guess I remember your enrichment nights and all the energy you put into them. Also, who could forget the slight jealousy I felt when I found that you may actually bake as well, if not better, than me! The jury is still out on that one, though. ;-P

  8. Even though it happened just two weeks ago, I think I’ll always remember getting your chocolate chip cookie recipe from you and having you say, “Oh. Well. I guess I’ll have to remember how I made them then.” It totally struck me as odd because I am a strict recipe-follower!!! I’ll always remember that almond flavoring makes any cookie better, according to you. (Plus, I tried it, and I loved it!)

Other than that, I think you’re really spunky and fun, and I like spunky and fun.

  9. Haha! I remember getting mad at you when we were practicing the music for Spencer’s mission farewell. I can’t remember what I was mad about, though.

    Hope’s last blog post..Reports:

  10. It is funny that you posted this. I was seriously thinking about two things we did just yesterday. The first memory I was thinking about was when we went to that military ball at the capitol. Do you have pics from that? I would love any! The other was when you guys kidnapped me for my b-day and we went to your house for breakfast! We had such great times in high school. You are such a great friend!

  13. I remember playing cranium with you and the fam while visiting one summer.

  14. When you were a nanny for a few months you came and spent the night at my house. You had been swimming before you came over. That night I remember you looked at me, smiled, and said, “Andrea, can I borrow something?”
You were wearing one of my nightgowns, so I said, “Sure you can wear that tonight.” You kept smiling at me and I yelled, “You are NOT wearing my underwear.” You continued to smile at me and I said, “Keep it. I don’t want it back.”

Since we already shared my twin bed sometimes (how did WE fit?) I guess underwear was no big deal.

  15. Amber, Amber, Amber. It seems like most of the memories I have with you consist of us eating your delicious food. I remember driving to see you guys after we had both moved to Utah. It was good to see familiar faces.

  16. I thought of one more memory.
I went on a trip to Utah with you, Andrea and Scott. I think it was just to visit your family. I remember Scott needing to pee and you didn’t want to pull over and he threatened to fill the empty 20 oz Dr. Pepper bottle.
I also remember you telling Andrea to downshift while going up a hill since it was a manual car, but you were asleep at the time.
I also remember you had your mixed tapes we’d listen to and singing to “Bye, Bye Miss American Pie”, or whatever the title to that song is, while driving through the gorge.

    That was a fun trip.

  17. I have lots of memories of you..Amber. Institute, Steve, meeting your family, which are some nice people, your wedding, your first baby. The last time I really saw you was when I had Amelia and you came to the hospital with food, which was wonderful, I don’t know that I ever really thanked you. So, Thank you, it was nummy. That truly meant a lot to see you that day. Having Amelia was very special to us. Oh, and don’t post to my blog, it’s not really updated, I need to get on that. It was fun having you around.

  18. Well, there are so many things I could write here… but I just remembered on our family trip to South Dakota, we were playing in the creek in front of the cabin and we were in water nearly up to our chests and it was a really silty muddy bottom and we must have stepped on an air pocket b/c all of a sudden there were a ton of bubbles coming up all around us and it freaked us out!

Hmmm… I also just recalled, since we’re playing a new game, I never did get my “reward” for “winning” the last game…. :)

  19. One of many memories- at your wedding reception in Utah, you danced with Dad and when he spun you around, your wedding dress went way up- I’ve got a movie of it. good thing the slip didn’t go up also.
