Annika has been protesting naps. She usually lasts until about 6 or so before she crashes. Unless of course she has some downtime before that. Tonight she fell asleep at the dinner table with her head on her plate. These were taken the last couple of days:

She was coloring on the coffee table
but apparently fell asleep mid stroke
This was at my mom’s house. She was watching Sesame street. She slept like this for about 5 minutes before laying her head down.
The other day I was out running errands with the girls. Cori had a blow out- so I ingeniously took her t-shirt out from under her sweater and used it for a skirt (I had one more store I had to hit!) I took a picture specifically to blog my ingenuity.

Steve’s been driving the same car since before we were married. He decided that he was ready for something more. He’s been back and forth on it and finally went for it last week.

Pretty pony huh?
I have a special place in my heart for mustangs. My parent’s went through many junky cars. But I remember the green mustang the best. I remember sitting in the passenger seat and rubbing the pony on the glove compartment. It wasn’t a nice mustang. Or a pretty mustang. Or even one that ran well. I think it was a 73 or something. My dad was working on it one morning and had gotten a faulty part that blew up and started the car on fire. It destroyed the car- not that it was much to destroy- but since then I’ve always wanted a mustang. So that makes it extra fun.

Great shots of the sleeper! Does she stay asleep if you move her to bed? I miss the days where I could put my kids in bed at 6 and they’d sleep until morning.
That coloring picture is the best!
I love the coloring picture, lol.
Cute “skirt” too, great idea.
I love. Love. mustangs too, nice.
I love Annika asleep with a marker right by her eye. That’s just so darn cute.
Love the car too. (What’s Steve going to do when he hits his mid life crisis? He already has a sports car now.)
That’s a funny story about your dad’s car catching fire… Does Annika still go to bed at regular time if she naps so late?! Mine doesn’t… any bit of a nap (even 5 minutes in the car) and she goes to bed late (ie. with us)…
The sleeping pics are adorable!
Did you know that I drove my dad’s ‘68 Mustang all through high school? (well, whenever he let me) I HATED it. No power steering, no power brakes, etc. And do you know how well classic cars run in the cold/snow? Not so well.
