Book #4 The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith
Published by amberlicious February 26th, 2007 in UncategorizedI found this book okay- if not a little cheesy. I’m not sure that I’ll be reading the rest of the series. I’d heard good things about this book and about the series but it wasn’t my favorite.
It’s set in Africa and is about a woman who is a detective. She basically uses common sense and following people to find out what the answers to the series of petty mysteries are. Of course it comes to an end when she solves a large heart breaking mystery.
I have been hearing about this book for a couple years now, yet, I have no interest to read it whatsoever…. Thanks to a Brit Lit Class that most of the writers wrote about Africa, I never want to read about it AGAIN… Ficticious or not. Hope bought me a book for Christmas a couple years ago that was written by the same Author as “Bridget Jones.” The main character ends up in Africa in the first couple chapters. I stopped reading it. I don’t know what it is about the Country, but it severely disinterests me! Sorry… that was a random tangent. Have a great day!
