Dozens of little girls (and some other people)
So I’ve blogged about the food- but I also got some great shots of the dozen or so little girls running around in matching pink dresses- plus a couple of an adorable nephew in a tux. Some things that those of you who aren’t LDS (Mormon) may or may not know. LDS weddings are a little different in a couple of ways from ‘regular’ weddings. Other weddings you invite maybe a hundred people and have it at a church (if it’s a church wedding) or a backyard or somewhere- and people who are invited to the wedding witness the wedding- and then celebrate with you afterwards. LDS weddings that are held in LDS temples are generally a smaller affair. You usually invite your family and a view close friends to the actual ceremony, and then later that day you have a large reception where there can be hundreds of people invited. The ceremony is an eternally sealing ceremony where we believe couples are sealed to each other through eternity- not only ‘until death do you part’. So it’s a very sacred ordinance. Only those who have been to the temple previously are allowed to witness the sealing- which means generally that all these cute little girls in the pink dresses? They waited out in a waiting room with my two youngest sisters. I left my camera with them and someone got some cute pictures. Apparently there was lots of dancing.
I like to think that Annika is being nice or saying something funny to Cori here- the chances of that are slim to none- but a girl can dream right?

One of my favorite- Ashley teaching Cori to dance

Dance like no one is watching:

It wasn’t all fun and games though- someone caught the first of many meltdowns by Cori- of which she’s a pro
The outsides of Temples are beautiful, fountains and flowers and lots of grass (generally) that are always impeccably kept. Great for picture taking of pretty girls- but keeping them from picking the flowers? Next to impossible.
Annika is a beautiful child, ornery as all get out- but gorgeous

Lyla ‘balancing’

Annika and Cori after picking flowers (before the beating) ![]()

Eve is my niece who is adorable, but mischievous. She was about to stick her hands in the fountain here and I was trying to snap her picture doing it- but she saw me and stopped and then posed.

Annika, McKayla, Cori ’smelling’ flowers (only because I saw them so they didn’t pick them)

All the girls

All the girls plus the lone nephew (Jaxon)

Annika again (notice the flowers?)

Ashley being pretty

McKayla checking out her shadow (it was really cute)

Steve entertaining children

Steve spinning a twin (isn’t he hot!) I love this picture

Is it easier if you’re balanced?

Ohh! The bride and groom!

They still like each other now that they’re married!

A glimpse into their future children… dozens of little girls. ![]()

Grumpy Cori

Check out the tux on my chunky little nephew!!

The sisters with the bride. I ended up sewing a skirt and wearing it with a pink shirt I already had.

Playing with Uncle Luke. I think they’re looking for magic rocks? Not sure.

Dancing with uncle Luke

A funny face Cori likes to make

Cute shoes!

Brightened up cake picture:

I realize that’s a lot of pictures- but I’ve got more even! It’s hard to pick favorites with such cute subjects! .

Wow, girls…I love the lone black baby tux in the sea of pink. How fun to have so many girls!
The bride and groom look so happy. And the cake is GORGEOUS.
Love, love, love all the pics!!!! They are beautiful. Some of my favorite wedding pics are the informal snaps.
And of course I want to go out with you! Name the day, time, place, I will be there. Except for Weds night. That is swimming with my Little Man. And Friday at 11:30. Otherwise, I am WAY free.
Beautiful pictures!
I love the twin spinning :0)
Poor little nephew…he’s never going to get to watch a boy movie with all those girls around!
Loved the pictures! I think my kids would love playing with your husband.
Those are very cute pictures. And it warms my heart to think that flowers are blooming somewhere.
I am in love with that picture of your little nephew what a cutie!
Hey we are having a Give-away!
I don’t think anyone has even entered yet LOL maybe everyone thinks its a April fools Joke.
Those shots are totally making me miss Utah!
So many gorgeous girls! I look at the blonde ones and just weep (that is what I probably would have had if God hadn’t decided I was destined for raising boys). I want to buy pretty dresses and braid hair, etc. But, I don’t miss the emotional melt-downs. You can keep those!
I didn’t realize you had so many sisters. My sis and I are carbon opposites (as my recent post explained slightly). Thanks for visiting and commenting. So, give me a post of some of the things you tend to hoard and pull out with great nostalgia! I’d love to hear it.
These pics are fab!

So sweet! Even with the meltdowns & illegal flower picking
It looks like they stayed very entertained & had more fun than they would have sitting in the service!
(I love the shot of the shoes - no one ever thinks about how cute those are!)
I think my favorite is the Steve helicopter.
WOW! Some of those pictures are amazing! They really capture the joy! Priceless! As always your girls are adorable. And Your cake is AMAZING!
WOW! That’s a lot of flower girls. They sure are cute, though. The cake is amazing! You’ve got talent.
