Is your bowl half full, half empty or spilled all over the table, dripping on the floor and tracked through the house?

Very cool! (and I already worship your awesomeness...)
I think I might try this with da Boo...she is always begging for special prizes and such. This might also be a good way to give her a scheduled Wii time. (Those things are addictive so be careful!)

Glad I'm not the only one with a 9-year old who does her chores in such a sloppy fashion. When I catch her doing this, I make her do the task over again to make her understand that it ultimately takes less time to do things right the first time. 'Cause if you do it poorly once then have to go back and do it again correctly it's like doing it two times, right? Sadly, this lesson hasn't sunk in yet.

I like the chores after dinner idea. Currently, my oldest saves them all up to do at the end of the week and then whines mightily about how long it takes. Maybe we should break them up a bit...

Megan reminds me of Lilah. 'I'm tired', or 'it's too hard', is what I hear all the time.
Lilah does like to help with odd jobs, like unloading the dishwasher, or helping to get the laundry loaded, it's the normal picking up after herself she hates.

Ah! Such brilliance!

I'd add in one more thing to the system. A minimum points quota for the day in order to have a given privilege the next (TV/Computer Time, etc...).

WOW! This system seems to be working out for you family! I REALLY hope that Ashley ends up earning a WII. I think that would teach her SO much about saving! GO YOU for doing this!

I'm totally ready to worship your awesomeness!

Sounds like it went really well for the first week, and I bet as they start to get it and understand saving points and stuff, they'll get better at it.

All hail Amber! That is totally awesome. I have to say that you inspired me. We are now doing the same thing, and it is working pretty well. My oldest daughter, who doesn't EVER want to do anything is constantly asking if she can help. Thanks for the great idea!

Sounds great! 45 minutes of chores AFTER the dinner is cleaned up! Wow! I don't even work that hard. :)

I'm like Annika, if I FEEL like it I can do a good job and get it done in record time.
