So people keep asking how Annika is doing. It’s been a little over a week since her surgery and she’s doing very well. She stopped walking like a little old lady with osteoporosis by about Saturday when we weren’t looking- and then by Monday when we were looking. (We saw her playing just fine and dandy when she thought we weren’t looking until then). I was hoping that she’d maybe feel better about life if she wasn’t in pain because of bladder infections and maybe be a little less obnoxious and whiny. Unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet. If anything she’s worse then ever because of the guilt induced spoiling that happened leading up to the surgery and after. I’m just ready for the peeing in the pants to stop, please? Sometime soon?

Oh my yes…hope that stops soonly for you!
I’m glad she’s feeling better. Oh, the spoiling! Hard not to do when they’re feeling so badly.
One hopes, soon!
All I can say is I’m SO sorry, and I hope it stops soon!
I think it will take a while - the sensors have to get trained to different feelings and get that awareness - she really has never had it before until it was an emergency.
I’m glad Annika is feeling well enough to be whiny again!! Some how I missed the post about her needing surgery. I’m glad that things went well.
Hope kind of said what I was thinking. I would go to the every two hour training. As an adult, I still don’t know until I’m dying!! Way emergency! Get out of the way! It’s easier just to go every two hours.
I’m so happy she’s feeling better!
Oooh… I also thought of…. when she pees… tell her to start and stop a couple times. It strengthens the muscles… (Keigle?) that control it. Then, after a while say, start to pee and then, stop for five to ten seconds, and then, pee again. It sounds weird, but it was something my Dr. told me when I was little.
