My exciting news…
I’ve been talking to a girl, a former roommate of my sister Hannah about catering her wedding and doing her wedding cake. She came by yesterday with her mom and we talked specifics and nailed down numbers. She paid me a check for the amount of the food for the wedding. She may possibly have a family friend do the cake (for cheaper then I can even buy ingredients so that’s fine with me) but I’m definitely doing the food. (Chicken salad on rolls, veggie kabobs, fruit kabobs and cream puffs).
My other news is that I’ve got a retarded body. You may already be aware of this. Utah is hard on me and my aching muscles/bones. The colder and wetter it is the harder it is for me to function. One thing that helps are massages. But massages are expensive. So I’ve found a massage therapist who is willing to trade massages (really fabulous ones actually) for food. I’m basically portioning off part of our dinner for him four-five times a week and throwing it in the freezer. Then on the weekend I bring him food and he makes my muscles feel better about the snow. Pretty good deal for me- and he seems to be happy with the arrangement as well. If you need a good massage therapist in Davis county I’ll give you his name and number.

Congratulations on both points.
That sounds like a great deal!!
Congrats on the wedding!
So is he a bachelor who wants home cooked meals?
I only cook elaborately about three times a week so that would be hard for me.
(soup and rice, spaghetti, and pizza all happen once a week for us.)
I hope the wedding goes well.
Brilliant! Congrats!
Yay for both!
So, speaking of random rashes… from the previous blog… I had these random bumps showing up on my neck arms and stomach. The people at work where all like, “Uh, oh! You better get checked for shingles!” So, I go to the dr, and she says, “it’s not shingles… and I have no clue what it is. Give us a call if it gets worse.”
Uhuh.. great.
Congrats on the wedding and I’m glad you found the worlds best massage therapist.
Congrats on the catering job and that sounds like a great barter.
I’m so envious of this arrangement you’ve got going and would absolutely do the same myself if I could figure out how to find a willing masseuse. Uh, and find the time for something other than fish sticks and frozen pizza…
sounds like a great deal with the massage therapist! And yeah to a catered wedding! Congrats!
That’s cool you have a catering job. I am sure you will get more from the word-of-mouth advertising after, too.
Trading massages for food. That is a good deal. I wish I had a talent that I could trade for luxory items. MMMM…….
Is this guy single? Does he like fat women? Does he want to move to New Mexico? Is he an ex Mormon?
How come I never find the deals.
And yes, I am a part of that message board, however, I wasn’t on it when you were, so that stuff is just none of my business…nor do I care. Are we still friends?
What a great deal and congratulations on the catering job!
