Passing of President Gordon B. Hinckley
Beloved Church President Gordon B. Hinckley, who led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through 12 years of global expansion, has died at the age of 97. President Hinckley was the 15th President in the 177-year history of the Church and had served as its President since March 12, 1995. For more information, visit the Newsroom.
My heart aches for myself and the rest of the church and even world for the loss of a great man. But President Hinckley is reunited with his beloved wife, for which I am happy for him. The church will move on. We will remember him most for bringing temples to those who would have never have had a temple before.

I found out last night through a text my friend sent to me. For the next hour after that I recieved about 20 texts about his death. today at least half the school wore either sunday dress or yellow to honor Gorgon B. Hinckley.
