About my head…
Apparently it’s not my head that’s the problem but my neck. I went to the dr. for some pain meds and he treated me like I was an addict looking for him to supplement my habit. Seriously I’ve never been so frustrated in my life. He gave me a shot in the butt of something that knocked me out cold for 6 hours. But when I woke up? I still had a headache.
So the next day I went to the chiropractor and he adjusted my neck- and the headache was immediately gone. Unfortunately it came back by the next morning. He adjusted me again and it came back again but faster that time. That day I was in charge of the main course part of a Relief Society progressive dinner for 7 women. So I had to be up and cooking and cleaning. I fed them and then was going to go to bed, but they convinced me to go to the church for dessert- so I did. I was complaining explaining my plight to a lady in my ward and it turned out she had some muscle relaxers she wasn’t using. I know sharing prescriptions is bad- but I was hurting in a bad way.
I woke up the next morning headache free- but my neck seems unable to hold up my head. So I’ve been mostly laying flat for the last week now. I’m not in pain as long as I’m laying down. I’m not sure what to do now, who to see to fix my problem. The chiropractor seemed like a temporary fix that didn’t last long. Maybe it just needs rest and ice? Which is what I’ve been doing.
In other news- Corinne is fascinated with the potty all of a sudden. She likes to take her diaper off and sit on the toilet for hours at a time. I’m not ready to potty train her! I’ve decided that we’re waiting until she’s 3 1/2 to tackle it. Unfortunately no one has told her this. Regarding the above about my neck- I’m not in a physical position to keep up with taking her potty or to keep up with the excess laundry that comes with a potty training child.

Man that’s crazy. Hope you figure it out soon. As far as the potty training, I am totally with you on that. The word potty or underwear doesn’t even exist in vocabulary around here until a child is at least 3. Why fight over pee and poo? For sure why with a broken neck? Feel better!
Sorry about all the pain.
I hope you can get it figured out soon. I’m knocked down with dental pain…first time since 2001 when your wonderful dad got me in to his dentist friend on a Sunday. I have to find a dentist tomorrow…like 70 something miles away…gah!
BTW…I’ve given you an award on my blog.
Fix your neck first, for sure!! Good luck and I’ll toss up a coulple of extra prayers for you.
Maybe massage/chiropractor combination?
with drugs involved for an added dimension.
Try icing the neck and also what works for me is ‘icy hot’ the part of my neck that seems to be hurting, or all of my neck, and then I will put ‘head on’ on my throbing part of my head and then eat a green apple. Also, try chocolate and straight Dr. Pepper. That also works sometimes. It may be hormonal. Those seem to be the kind that linger. So sorry Amber. Feel better.
Amber, I hope you are doing better. Moms can’t get sick or hurt right? Who is going to hold it all together right???
I hope all is well!
So you’re a pain in the neck? Um, I mean you’ve got a pain in the neck…
Sorry, just couldn’t pass it up. I swear I’m still in the third grade sometimes. I hope you are feeling better! Think happy thoughts! Laptop fixed…won NaNa…hopefully you have some chocolate handy.
What did you end up fixing for the ladies?
