25,000 Words
I’ve been typing like crazy. I’m halfway to my goal- but more than halfway through the month, but I’m gaining ground What does 25,000 words look like?
25,000 words = 61 pages
25,000 words = 563 paragraphs
25,000 words= 2,653 lines
25,000 words = not halfway through my story. I’m going to have to write probably closer to at least 75,000 to finish it up.
I’ve learned some things about myself in the last 25,000 words as well.
I’ve learned:
*To write a story you just need to start writing and the story will come
*I’ve not got enough evil in me. I really struggle with the villain and trying to justify why he acts the way he does.
*I prefer perfection and complete fairness. It’s hard to make people not act fair and just. But to creae an interesting story I need to do this.

I would have a hard time too. I cant even play the bad guy in video games.
I cant believe how far you have come! Go Amber go!
Maybe the lady in black needs to come and visit again and give you advice. . .
I don’t know if this will help, but I once heard John Travolta talk about being the bad guy. He said that the reason he played the bad guy so well is because he acted like the bad guy believed that everything he was saying or doing was right. I’m not that evil either. I’m not sure I could pull it off.
Can you think of a real life person to base him/her/it on?
That’s one of the reasons I LOVE “Wicked.”(The Book and the Musical!) You know that Elphaba (The Wicked Witch of the West) is totally justified… in her mind. And you know why, even though it’s not right, how kids that are bullied lash out, and feel their justification… even if they they took a gun to school… ok, sounds off the wall. I’m not saying Bullied kids should take a gun to school… I’m just saying, I see where they are coming from.
Did you go see “Wicked” the musical yet? AMAZING! (Kind of a different story then the book, but still awesome!)
Good work with the writing!
Wanna guess how many words my book is so far? And keep in mind that I’ve been working on this for the two previous NaNos…and it’s *still* not done!
And you don’t have to start at the beginning to write the story! By all means, skip to your favorite part and write there!
Damn that’s a lot of work. A lot of words. AND a lot of typing!!!! You must have some dedication in you.
