The Unknown

Remember my housing conundrum?  I have a new one. I’ve spent the majority of this month looking for a house to rent.  I’ve seen a couple that looked good (and lots that didn’t) but they go so fast!  Also we’re not needing to rent until the end of September- so people don’t want to rent to us because they want their house rented Sept. 1.  Which makes sense.  But we have to give 30 days notice here that we’re leaving. That means that we’ll have to give notice before knowing where we’re headed.  More then a little scary.  It’s like stepping into the great abyss. Still- I’m pretty sure we’re going to do it.  Wish me luck!

I was just talking to (my) Steve about how the whole moving thing is tricky with all of the timing that you hope falls into place-which it never does. Wait until Sat to go look and that way you can tell them Oct 1st you can move in. I don’t know!

    Luck!

Sounds just a bit unnerving, but if that’s what you have to do to rent by Oct 1, then it will work out. Transitions are always scary … like when you have to let go of one hand on the monkey bar to swing onto the next. Good luck!

Good luck! And if all else fails, we have a spare room! Well, it doesn’t have a door but those can be overrated, ya know. :)

That is stressful. Someday, months from now, you are going to learn something from this whole move/transition experience. Do I need to break out in song?

Put down some kind of deposit–then maybe they’ll take you a little more serious. Heck, sign the contract starting the date you want. Money seems to talk. Good Luck–I hope you find a good landlord.
